Godh Bharaai is a new TV serial on Sony TV which starts today on 8th March, 2010 on the occasion of Women’s Day. Godh Bharaai on Sony TV is aired every Monday to Thursday at 7:30 PM in India. New TV serial Godh Bharai raises some social issues of sterility of our traditional society.

Godh Bharai Story:

Godh Bharai story theme is based on sterility. The serial is based on an issue of sterility which is faced by childless women in our society. Godh Bharai story tries to establish women as women rather than a Beti, Patni, Bahu and Maa. It is a story of a young woman who has all that life has to offer except a child.

Godh Bharaai on Sony TV revolves around the absolute woman. In our society, women can’t be absolute women before being a mother.

First Episode of Godh Bharai:

First episode of Godh Bharai on Sony TV starts with the worship of Radha Krishna. Ramavatar and his son – Shivam sing a Bhakti song in the early morning. People say about Shivam that he is just like the Ram.

On the other hand, Shivam’s mother is in the hurry to take a cup of tea. She asks Aastha. In the mid, Badi Bahu enters into the room. She tries to show herself modern. Shivam’s mother asks her to call Aastha.

Today is anniversary day of Aastha and Shivam. Shivam wish his anniversary day to Aastha in a very romantic style.

To see their romance, Badi Bahu also tries to ping her husband who is still on the bed. Bulbul is ready to go school.

Today, all have to go Nupur’s house in the ceremony of Nirmala’s Godh Bharaai. There is a big ceremony in the house of Nupur. Every women wish Nirmala to her good health.

Finally, Aastha goes to give her bless. But she is stopped because she has no child. She has been living her married life for last 5 years but till now she has no baby.

About Godh Bharai:

Godh Bharai TV Show introduces some social issues of our traditional society just like Balika Vadhu and Devi which is not contemporary with our modern society.

Godh Bharai is a religion ceremony which is celebrated by Hindu in almost all part of the country. In Bengal the ceremony is known as Shaad, in Kerala it is called Seemandha and in Tamil Nadu it is Valakappu. Godh Bharai ceremony is done when a pregnant woman has completed seven months of gestation. Meaning of Godh Bharai is “fill the lap”.

Do Saheliyaan - Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan

Do Saheliyaan – Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan on Zee TV (Mon-Thu 10. 30 pm) is the story of friendship between two girls – Maithali and Bhavri. Despite their caste and class differences, the two girls are close friends defying all societal rules.

While Maithali hails from a high-caste rich Rajput family and is brought up by loving parents, Bhavri is the daughter of a man from a low-caste.

Bhavri’s chacha falls in love with Maithili’s bua but are separated after they elope and marry. In a feud that ensues between the two families, Bhavri’s mother accidentally dies while saving Maithili. Bhavri is barely seven at that time and is later brought up a step-mother who often ill-treats her.

Time passes and the girls get married. Bhavri gets married to Anadi and Maithili to Shaurya. The married couples board the same train for Mount Abu. However, the train meets with a big accident and in all the commotion Bhavri and Maithali land up with each other’s husbands!

Bhavri has never seen Anadi and Shaurya thinks that Bhavri is the right girl as he was shown her picture before. They start living together as man and wife!

Anadi and Maithali land up together knowing well that they have lost their respective spouses. Due to circumstances they pretend to the world that they are husband and wife and eventually start falling in love.

However, more twists are in store for Bhavri and Maithili.

Do Saheliyaan – Kismat ki Kathputaliyaan shows how two friends make sacrifices for each other even though destiny has turned their lives topsy turvy!

SASURAL GENDA PHOOL

Set in the beautiful alleys of Old Delhi, Sasural Genda Phool is a heart rendering story of two unlikely characters – Suhana and Ishaan. It is a love story of two strangers who fall in love after marriage.

Suhana is the lovely, spirited daughter of Kamal Kumar Bajpai. She hails from a palatial house with a plethora of servants to service her cravings. Having lost her mother at a very young age, she grows up as a very lonely person. Despite his best efforts, Kamal Kumar Bajpai is not able to give his daughter enough time. Denied a mother’s love and a father’s attention, Suhana has grown up to have a legendary temper. But equally legendary is her kindness. Everyone who has seen her grow up – her family, her servants and her friends – know her to be an honest, upright person, never shying away from calling a spade a spade. Unfortunately, Suhana loses in that most complicated game of all, love. In a flick of instinctive defiance, she agrees to marry whoever her father decides for her.

Ishaan on the other hand is a gentle, good natured IT professional. Surprisingly, for a person whose career is on the rise, he does not have a girlfriend…he asks his family members to look for a bride for him. As one girl after another rejects him, he gives up and decides that he will marry whosoever they decide is a proper match for him. They decide on Suhana. Thus, Suhana and Ishaan are wed.

But the marriage starts on a disastrous note. Suhana, who is raw from a recent break up, makes it clear to Ishaan that she is not in love with him. Epitomising the nice guy that he is, he decides to give her time for her wounds to heal. And then, something happens to Suhana. Whether it is the power of the marriage mantras or the ritual of living under the same roof, a magic happens. It starts with inconsequential things – choosing a shirt for him; packing his tiffin; or personally picking the flowers Ishaan likes best.  Suhana slowly begins to discover her husband. Each new day, she discovers a new facet of her husband. Each new day makes Ishaan more endearing to Suhana. And before she knows it, she has fallen in love with him – a love which is deep and solid; a love that will truly stand the test of time.

But Sasural Genda Phoolis not only about Suhana’s discovery of love; it is also about her discovery of a family. Unlike Suhana, Ishaan comes from a large joint family. Individuals in this family subordinate their selfish desires for needs of the common good. It is in this family that Suhana discovers the true wealth of living – she gains the love of a mother, of a Dadima, of Chachas and Chachis and of Brothers and Sisters she never had. She learns to never make a distinction between rich and poor, between the intelligent and the not-so-intelligent – to be equal to all and never to be judgmental.

The family Suhana weds into is where the major drama and emotion of Sasural Genda Phoolwill take place.
